God's Heart for Me, God's Heart for the World
As of 8:13am this very morning, I have officially accepted appointment as a Pioneers missionary and will be leaving to serve in Europe for three months at the end of September (if I have enough support by then).
I am so so so happy to have been blessed with appointment, I am incredibly excited to be working with all different types of people groups throughout Europe, bringing them to the Lord and showing them His great love.
I have been praying about this journey for a long time now, asking for comfort, peace, and lots and lots of clarity. I have spent the past few days at Pioneers USA in Orlando, getting to know different coaches and what they are all about and discussing my plans for Europe. I have talked with many different people, heard many powerful stories, and have been continually praying and asking God to guide my paths and make them straight and anoint me with a Godly decision.
Though there is much work to be done and not all of the details have been finalized. I know that I will be staying the majority of the time under the hospitality of a host family in Bayonne, France. I will be working most closely with a team there to bring people of the community to the Lord, engage in Bible studies as well as start and equip churches. In addition to my work in Bayonne, I will be participating in excursions and short trips to many other teams throughout Europe to use my God-given gifts in social media promotion, photography, videography and graphic design to showcase the work of other missionaries within the regions I visit.
I ask that you join me in praying that the Lord will continue to guide my paths and show me His will. I ask that you pray for me as I deal with the anxiety leading up to my trip, that you pray for me and my preparation for this journey, I ask that you pray for the team I'll be joining already in France, that God continues to bless them and the work they are doing. Pray for my work in Europe, that I am able to share His light and His love with all who cross my paths. I ask that you not only pray for Europe and the Lord's work there, but His work all over the nation. I ask that you pray for anyone throughout the world who may be struggling, that God raises up the right people to help in all situations.
All that having said, I leave you with this: There is no better name than that of the Lord Almighty Father in Heaven. And no greater word than His word, and no better way to celebrate the beginning of a journey for Him than with His wonderful scripture, written in ink for us to follow.
So..
"GO therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19
